Bus
From Rethymno, head to the central bus station located at 1st Merarchias 5. Look for the bus that goes to Agios Vasileios. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Agios Vasileios, get off at the final stop where you can ask locals for directions to Kourtaliotiko Gorge.

Walking
From the bus stop in Agios Vasileios, walk towards the main road (Eparchiaki Odos Rethymnou - Agiou Vasileiou). Follow the road signs to Myrthios. It will take around 30 minutes of walking. As you approach Myrthios, you will see signs for Kourtaliotiko Gorge. Follow these signs; the gorge entrance is located a short distance from the village.

If you are feeling adventurous, you can hike from Myrthios to Kourtaliotiko Gorge. Once in the village, look for trails leading down towards the gorge. This route is scenic but requires a moderate fitness level. Make sure to bring plenty of water and wear suitable hiking shoes.
