Getting there

Bus

To reach Plakias Beach, start by finding the nearest bus station in your current location. If you are in Rethymno, go to the main bus station (Ktel Rethymnou) located on Kountourioti Street. Purchase a ticket for Plakias (Buses to Plakias usually have a direct route from Rethymno). The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Upon arrival at the Plakias bus station, follow the signs to the beach which is about a 10-minute walk downhill. You can enjoy the scenic views as you walk towards the beach.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location. Request a taxi to Plakias Beach. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey. The taxi ride from Rethymno to Plakias will take around 35-40 minutes. Once you arrive at Plakias Beach, simply ask the driver to drop you off at the beach entrance, which is easily accessible.

Walking

If you are staying nearby in the village of Plakias, you can walk to the beach. Head towards the main road and follow the signs for Plakias Beach. The beach is well-marked and it takes roughly 15 minutes to walk from the village center to the beach area. Make sure to enjoy the beautiful surroundings as you make your way to the shoreline.
