    The Stamatiadis Mineralogy and Paleontology Museum, located in Ialysos, Rhodes, is the first of its kind in the Dodecanese region. Established in 2008, the museum aims to promote geology and provide a learning experience for students, researchers, and visitors.The museum's 300-square-meter space houses a rich collection of minerals and fossils from Greece and around the world. Exhibits are organized in showcases, highlighting specimens such as Azurite, Malachite, Calcite, and Galena, many sourced from mineral-rich Greek regions like Lavrion. Visitors can also find minerals from Milos (Sulfur, Obsidian), Naxos (Amaril, Margarite), and Serifos. Rhodes is represented by minerals like Artinite and Hydromagnesite.In addition to minerals, the museum features fossilized marine organisms from the Neogene Pliocene Epoch and ancient fossils like Radiolites and Ammonites from the Triassic Epoch. Noteworthy exhibits include Trilobites from Morocco and a crocodile skull from the Miocene Period, as well as fossilized fish from Brazil's Cretaceous Epoch. The museum also has a hall for film projections related to nature and the environment.
