Bus
From Samos Town, head to the main bus station located near the harbor. Purchase a ticket for the bus to Selçuk. The journey will take approximately 4-5 hours. Once you arrive in Selçuk, disembark at the Selçuk bus terminal. From there, you can either take a taxi or walk to the Efes Harabeleri (Ephesus) site, which is about a 20-minute walk. Follow the signs towards the ancient ruins and you will find the Hercules Gate at the entrance.
Ferry
Take a ferry from Samos to Kusadasi, Turkey. Ferries typically depart from Vathy (the main port town) and arrive in Kusadasi after around 1-2 hours. Once you arrive at Kusadasi, you can take a local bus or a taxi to Selçuk, which is about a 30-minute drive. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Efes Harabeleri site, where you will find the Hercules Gate.
Walking
If you are in Selçuk, start at the Selçuk bus terminal. Head south on Atatürk Boulevard until you reach the intersection with the D550 highway. Turn right and follow the D550 for a short distance until you see signs for Efes Harabeleri (Ephesus). Continue walking straight, and you will reach the entrance to the archaeological site where the Hercules Gate is located.
