Getting There

Start at the central square of Serres, located near the statue of the hero of the Greek War of Independence, which is known as Plateia Eleftherias. From the square, head east on Egnatias Street (Οδός Εγνατίας) for about 400 meters until you reach the intersection with Kallinikou Street. Turn right onto Kallinikou Street and continue straight for another 600 meters. You will pass a few local shops and cafes along the way. Once you reach the intersection with Vasilissis Sofias Street, turn left. Keep walking for about 800 meters until you reach the outskirts of the city. Look for signs indicating the direction to Αϊ Γιώργης (Agios Georgios). The path may turn into a more rustic road with some greenery around.
