Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Aristotelous Square, head southeast on Egnatia Street towards the statue of Alexander the Great. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Dim. Gounari Street. Turn left onto Dim. Gounari Street, and walk for about 400 meters. The Roman Hippodrome will be on your right, just before you reach the intersection with Veikou Street.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From the White Tower, you can take bus number 31 towards Kalamaria. Get off at the 'Kalamaria' stop and transfer to bus number 8 towards Xirokrini. Ride for 6 stops and get off at the 'Kalamaria' stop. After disembarking, walk west for about 5 minutes along Dim. Gounari Street, and you will find The Roman Hippodrome on your left.

    If you are at the Thessaloniki Archaeological Museum, exit the museum and head southwest towards the waterfront. Walk along the waterfront promenade until you reach the intersection with Egnatia Street. Turn left onto Egnatia and continue straight until you reach Dim. Gounari Street.
