The beach boasts soft, golden sands stretching approximately one kilometer, bordered by lush vegetation. The clear turquoise waters invite visitors for a refreshing swim, though caution is advised for novice swimmers due to currents.Levera is a significant nesting site for endangered leatherback turtles, with nesting season typically running from April to July. During this period, the beach is closed from 6 PM to 6 AM, and viewing the turtles requires joining a guided tour with SPECTO (Society for the Preservation of the Environment, Culture and Tourism Organisation). These tours cost EC$80 or US$30.Beyond the beach, Levera National Park offers hiking trails with panoramic views, diverse birdlife, and the Levera Pond, a saltwater lagoon teeming with aquatic life and mangroves. The park showcases Grenada's rich plant life and remnants of historical sites like old sugar plantations. The area is also known for its diverse birdlife, with over 85 species documented.While Levera Beach offers a peaceful escape, it's worth noting that swimming may not always be ideal due to strong waves and currents, and seaweed can be abundant.
