Opening times, essentials, and a few local tips gathered into one calmer, easier-to-scan planning section.
Walking
From Bogles, walk left at the Boggles Bulletin Board where the main road bends. Follow the road, which turns to dirt, for 25 minutes. Veer right where the power lines veer left, until you see a small sign pointing to a narrow path. Follow that path down through the forest for 15 minutes. The path is steep and can be hard to follow, so head down towards the sound of the waves. There is no cost associated with walking to Anse La Roche.
Water Taxi
Arrange for a water taxi from Hillsborough. Negotiate the fare before departure. The boat will drop you off directly on the beach. A round trip water taxi from Hillsborough typically costs around US$75.
