Walking
From the center of St. George's, near the cruise port or market square, Fort George is accessible by foot. Head north along the Carenage, then take the steps up next to the Sendall Tunnel exit. The walk is uphill and takes about 10-15 minutes. There are no costs involved.
Public Transport
Local buses run frequently from the Melville Street Bus Terminal in St. George's to the General Hospital area. From there, it's a short walk up the main road to Fort George. Bus fare is approximately EC$2.50. Buses operate primarily during the day, with limited service after 7 PM.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in St. George's. A taxi from the cruise port or town center to Fort George is a short ride. Expect to pay around EC$15-20. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
Driving
If driving, follow the main road north from St. George's towards the General Hospital. Continue past the hospital, and you'll find Fort George on the right. Parking near Fort George is limited. Some street parking may be available, but it can be challenging to find. There are no parking fees.
