Levera National Park, situated on the northern end of Grenada, stands as one of the island's most diverse and scenic coastal regions. Established in 1992, the 450-acre park encompasses a variety of ecosystems, including mangrove swamps, a lagoon, beaches, and coastal dry forests. The park's lagoon is a crucial wildlife habitat, attracting birdwatchers with its extraordinary birdlife, including the Scarlet Ibis, herons, black-necked stilts, and common snipes. Levera Beach is a major nesting site for endangered leatherback turtles, typically from March to July, offering visitors a chance to witness these creatures.
