Asan Bay Overlook, part of the War in the Pacific National Historical Park, provides a place for reflection and remembrance. Completed in 1994 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Guam, the overlook offers panoramic views of Asan Bay, the seaside villages of Asan and Piti, and the landing beaches used by U.S. forces during the Battle of Guam.The overlook features landscaped walkways, a viewing platform with historical photos, and bronze sculptures depicting events during the 1941-1944 Japanese occupation and the Battle of Guam. The Memorial Wall of Names lists 1,880 U.S. servicemen who died on Guam during World War II, along with 1,170 Guam residents who perished and 14,721 who suffered atrocities during the occupation and battles.Visitors can reflect on the sacrifices made during the war while taking in the scenery. The site serves as a reminder of the impact of the war on both the U.S. military and the local Chamorro people.

Driving
From Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport, take Route 10A to Marine Corps Drive (Route 1). Turn left and drive approximately 5 miles, then turn left onto Route 6 and travel about 4 miles. The overlook is on the right. Parking is free.

From Tumon, take a bus towards Hagatna. From Hagatna, transfer to a bus heading towards Maina. Get off at the stop closest to FP68, then walk approximately 0.2 miles to Asan Bay Overlook. Bus fare is around $2. Check local bus schedules for the most up-to-date information.

Taxis are available at major shopping centers and hotels. From Hagatna, a taxi ride to Asan Bay Overlook will cost approximately $8 to $10, plus the standard flag rate of $2.40, $4.00 for the first mile, and $0.80 every ¼ mile thereafter.
