Ypao Beach Parking is located directly on this road. Look for signs indicating the parking lot entrance, which will be to your right.

Public Transport

If you're traveling by public transportation, take a bus that operates along the Tumon area. You can catch the bus at any designated bus stop along the main road. Ask the driver to drop you off at Ypao Beach Park or near the intersection of Pale San Vitores Rd and Route 14 B. From there, it is a short walk to the beach access. Bus fare is approximately $1.00 per ride.

For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi or a ride-share service. Ypao Beach, also known as Governor Joseph Flores Beach Park, is a coastal gem located in the heart of Tumon, Guam. This popular beach park offers a slice of paradise with its soft, white sands and inviting, clear waters, perfect for a variety of activities.The beach is known for its calm waters, making it an ideal spot for families with children and beginner snorkelers. Just a few meters from the shore, snorkelers can explore vibrant coral reefs teeming with diverse species of fish. The park also features a large grassy area shaded by palm trees, perfect for picnics and relaxation. BBQ pits and picnic tables are available for public use. A walking path along the coastline provides a serene setting for leisurely strolls and sunset viewing.Ypao Beach Park is not just about natural beauty; it's also a place steeped in history. The park sits on the site of an ancient Chamorro burial ground. During the American naval era, a leper colony was established at Ypao in 1902, which lasted until 1912. The beach also witnessed significant events during World War II when the area was used by Japanese soldiers for military activities. Today, Ypao Beach Park is a vibrant cultural hub, hosting numerous festivals, concerts, and community gatherings throughout the year.
