Fish Eye Underwater Observatory: A Window to Guam's Marine Wonders

Located in the heart of the Piti Bay Marine Preserve, Fish Eye Underwater Observatory offers a unique opportunity to explore Guam's underwater world. As Micronesia's only underwater observatory, it provides a window into a vibrant ecosystem teeming with marine life. The adventure begins with a stroll along a 300-meter ocean bridge, offering stunning views of Piti Bay. The gentle sea breeze and the turquoise waters create a sense of anticipation for the wonders that lie beneath. Upon reaching the observatory, descend a spiral staircase to the underwater viewing chamber. Here, at a depth of 10 meters, 24 viewing windows (16 rectangular and 8 round) provide a 360-degree panorama of the surrounding coral reefs and marine inhabitants. Marvel at over 200 species of fish and 80 varieties of coral, all in their natural habitat. Keep an eye out for colorful anemonefish, damselfish, and even the occasional turtle or stingray. The observatory is designed for comfort and safety, built to withstand even the most powerful typhoons. For those who prefer to remain above water, a live video feed from an underwater camera is displayed on a monitor in the upper deck. Fish Eye Marine Park also offers additional activities to enhance your visit. Snorkeling tours allow you to get up close and personal with the marine life in Piti Bay. A cultural dinner show provides a taste of local Chamorro culture, complete with traditional music and dance. The park also features engaging exhibits and educational programs that highlight the importance of marine conservation.
