Fish Eye Underwater Observatory: Dive into Guam's Marine Wonders
Explore Guam's underwater paradise at Fish Eye: Micronesia's only underwater observatory, offering stunning views of vibrant marine life.
The Fish Eye Underwater Observatory offers a unique opportunity to explore Guam's rich marine life without the need for diving or snorkeling. Located in the Piti Bay Marine Preserve, the observatory is accessed via a 300-meter (900-foot) ocean bridge, providing stunning views of the bay. Descend a 72-step spiral staircase to the underwater viewing deck, situated 10 meters (30 feet) below the surface. Here, 24 large windows (16 rectangular and 8 round) offer a 360-degree view of the surrounding reef, home to over 200 species of fish and 80 types of coral. Marine life is especially active in the late morning and early afternoon. The observatory is designed to withstand typhoons and provides a safe and comfortable environment to observe the underwater world. For those who prefer to stay above water, a live video feed of the underwater scenery is available on the upper deck. Beyond the underwater observatory, Fish Eye Marine Park offers other activities such as dolphin watching cruises and cultural experiences. The park also features a Garden Restaurant, where visitors can enjoy a buffet of island cuisine.
