Car
From any location in the Central Highlands, make your way to the town of Chisec. If you're coming from Coban, take the CA-9 highway south until you reach the junction with the CA-14 road. Turn left onto CA-14 and continue for about 35 kilometers until you reach Chisec. Once in Chisec, follow signs or use a GPS to navigate to the coordinates 15.8141597, -90.2880156. Take RP76 towards the outskirts of the town, and you will find the Candelaria Caves nearby. Parking may be available near the entrance, but check local signs for regulations.

Public Transportation
To reach Candelaria Caves via public transportation, first travel to Chisec by taking a bus from Coban. Buses leave frequently from Coban's central bus terminal. The journey usually takes about 1-1.5 hours and costs around 20-30 Quetzales. Once you arrive at Chisec, you can hire a local tuk-tuk or taxi to take you to Candelaria Caves, which is approximately 10 kilometers away. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 30-50 Quetzales, depending on your negotiating skills and the distance.
