Car
If you're driving from Antigua, take CA-1 towards Guatemala City and then transfer to CA-9. Continue on CA-9 until you reach Cobán. From Cobán, take the road towards Lanquín, which is well-marked. The road to Lanquín is not paved and can be bumpy, so drive cautiously. Once in Lanquín, follow the signs to Semuc Champey. There is a parking area near the entrance where you can leave your car (parking fee is usually around Q10).
Shuttle Bus
From Antigua, you can take a shuttle bus directly to Lanquín. Several companies operate this route, and the journey takes about 7-8 hours. It's advisable to book your shuttle in advance. Once you arrive in Lanquín, you can take a local tuk-tuk or walk to the entrance of Semuc Champey, which is about 11 kilometers away. The tuk-tuk ride will cost around Q50-70.
