Walking
From the center of Panajachel, start by heading towards the main street, Calle Santander. Walk along this street until you reach the waterfront. At the waterfront, look for the boat dock (muelle) where you can catch a boat to Santiago Atitlán. Purchase a ticket for a boat to Santiago, which will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Santiago Atitlán, disembark and head towards the main square. From the square, ask locals for directions to Maximon, or follow signs. It is a short walk from the square, approximately 10-15 minutes. Maximon is located at JQR9+3GW, Santiago Atitlán.
Boat
If you prefer not to walk from Panajachel, you can take a boat directly to Santiago Atitlán. Head to the dock at the waterfront in Panajachel and buy a ticket for a boat to Santiago Atitlán. The boat ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to Maximon. It's a short walk from the dock in Santiago, approximately 10-15 minutes.
