At the south end of El Zapote, turn onto the unpaved road leading south for 8.5 km to Aldea La Blanca. From Aldea La Blanca, continue 3 km east on the north lake road to reach the La Blanca archaeological site. Be prepared for a bumpy ride on the unpaved roads.

From El Zapote, you can hire a local taxi or 'tuk-tuk' to take you to Aldea La Blanca, and then onwards to the archaeological site. Negotiate the fare beforehand.
