From the center of San Ignacio, head to the main bus terminal located on Avenida 15 de Septiembre. Look for the buses heading towards Flores or Santa Elena. Purchase a ticket for Laguna Yaxhá, which is about a 2.5-hour journey. Make sure to inform the driver you are going to Laguna Yaxhá so he can drop you off at the right stop.

You can find shared taxis (also known as 'collectivos') near the central market in San Ignacio. Look for a taxi heading to Flores or Santa Elena. Share the ride with other passengers to reduce costs. The driver will drop you off at the entrance of Parque Nacional Yaxhá, but confirm this with him before starting the trip.
