Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start from the center of Quetzaltenango (Xela) and head south on Avenida Las Americas. Continue for about 2 kilometers until you reach a roundabout. Take the second exit onto Calle 2-50, which leads towards Zona 03. Follow this road until you see signs for Cerro El Baul. The road will lead you to a parking area near the base of the hill. Parking may incur a small fee, typically around 10-20 Quetzales.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Cerro El Baul by public transport, head to the main bus terminal in Quetzaltenango. Look for the buses heading to Zona 03 or specifically those that stop near Cerro El Baul. The fare is usually around 5 Quetzales. Inform the driver of your destination, and they will let you know when to get off. Once you arrive, follow the signs directing you to the entrance of Cerro El Baul, which is about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.

• Walking

  For those already in the vicinity, you can walk to Cerro El Baul from central Quetzaltenango. Start at Parque Central and head south on Avenida Las Americas. Continue for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach Calle 2-50. Turn left onto Calle 2-50 and follow it until you see signs for Cerro El Baul. The walk is scenic and should take about 30-40 minutes.
