If you're traveling by car from Verapaces to Antigua Mountain Trail, head south on CA-9. Continue on CA-9 for approximately 45 km until you reach the junction that leads to Antigua Guatemala. Follow the signs for Antigua, and once you enter the city, look for signs pointing towards San Cristobal El Alto. The trailhead is located at the top of the hill in San Cristobal El Alto, which is a short drive from the city center.

To reach Antigua Mountain Trail using public transportation, catch a bus from Verapaces to Antigua Guatemala. Buses are available from the main bus terminal in Verapaces, and the journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive in Antigua, take a local tuk-tuk or taxi to San Cristobal El Alto. Make sure to negotiate the fare in advance; it should cost around 30-50 Q (Guatemalan Quetzals). The tuk-tuk or taxi will take you to the trailhead.
