Getting there

Car

From Portelet Bay, head northwest on La Rue de Portelet towards La Rue des Vignes. Continue on this road until you reach the main junction. At the junction, turn left onto La Route de Saint Aubin (A2). Follow this road for approximately 2 miles until you reach the town of Saint Peter Port. As you approach the town, follow the signs for Castle Cornet, which will direct you to the harbor. You may need to find parking nearby, as there are limited parking spaces available close to the castle.

Public Transportation (Bus)

From Portelet Bay, walk to the nearest bus stop located on La Rue de Portelet. Take bus number 7 towards Saint Peter Port. The journey takes about 15 minutes. Disembark at the bus stop closest to the harbor. From there, it's a short walk to the ferry terminal where you can catch a ferry to Castle Cornet. The ferry operates regularly, but check the schedule for any seasonal changes. The cost of the bus ticket is approximately £1.50, and the ferry ticket will be around £5 for adults.

Walking

If you prefer a scenic walk, you can follow the coastal path from Portelet Bay to Saint Peter Port. This walk takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Follow the coastal path along the cliffs, enjoy the beautiful views of the bay, and eventually, you will reach the harbor area. Once you arrive, look for signs directing you to Castle Cornet, which is accessible by foot from the harbor.
