Car
If you are driving from the city center of Bissau, head southwest on Avenida dos Combatentes da Liberdade da Pátria towards Rua da Liberdade. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua 14 de Novembro. Turn left onto Rua 14 de Novembro and follow the road for about 2 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you towards IBAP, which is located at VCF4+84M. The total drive should take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.
Public Transportation
To reach IBAP via public transportation, take a local 'kupé' (shared taxi) from the central market in Bissau. Look for a kupé that heads towards the IBAP area. The fare is typically around 1000 CFA francs (approximately $1.50 USD). Inform the driver of your destination, and they will drop you off as close as possible. The journey may take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic and stops.
Walking
If you are close to the VCF4+84M area and prefer to walk, start from the nearest landmark you are familiar with, such as the Bissau waterfront. Head southwest towards Avenida dos Combatentes da Liberdade da Pátria, then follow the road until you reach the intersection with Rua 14 de Novembro. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer, and IBAP will be on your left. This walk should take around 20-30 minutes.
