Car
From Kindia, head west on the N1 highway. Follow the signs towards Mamou. After approximately 30 km, take the exit for the N3 road towards Kunia. Continue on N3 for about 45 km. You will see signs for Forêt guinéenne de l'Ouest africain as you approach Kunia. The forest is located at the coordinates 9.049204 latitude and -11.3198805 longitude, which you can enter into your GPS for precise navigation.
Public Transportation (Taxi-Brousse)
From the main taxi-brousse station in Kindia, board a taxi-brousse heading towards Mamou. Ensure to inform the driver that you want to get off at Kunia. The journey takes about 1-1.5 hours. Once you reach Kunia, you may need to hire a local taxi or a motorbike taxi to take you directly to Forêt guinéenne de l'Ouest africain, which is approximately 10 km from Kunia. Expect to pay around 10,000 GNF (Guinean Franc) for the motorbike taxi.
Walking (if already in Kunia)
If you are already in Kunia, you can opt to walk to the Forêt guinéenne de l'Ouest africain. Begin at the center of Kunia and head northwest towards the forest. The distance is roughly 10 km, and it may take around 2-3 hours to walk there. Make sure to carry water and wear comfortable shoes, as the path may not be well-marked.
