Car
If you are driving, start from Georgetown, the capital city of Guyana. Head east on the East Bank Demerara Road (also known as the Public Road). Continue straight for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction with the Soesdyke-Linden Highway. Turn left onto the Soesdyke-Linden Highway. After about 15 kilometers, keep an eye out for the signs directing you toward Low Wood. Follow the signs for another 5 kilometers, and you will arrive at Camp Alpha located at 9QM5+9R, Low Wood. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition as the roads can be rough in some areas.
Public Transportation
To reach Camp Alpha using public transportation, start at the Stabroek Market in Georgetown. Board a minibus heading towards Linden. The fare is approximately GYD 300-500. Inform the driver that you want to disembark at Low Wood. Once you arrive at Low Wood, you may need to walk about 1 kilometer to reach Camp Alpha at 9QM5+9R. Alternatively, you can take a motorcycle taxi (locally known as 'bike') from the bus stop to the camp for an additional fee of around GYD 150-200.
