Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the nearest major town, Bartica. Head east on the Bartica–Mazaruni Road for about 10 kilometers until you reach the junction for Low Wood. Turn onto the road leading towards Low Wood, and continue for approximately 5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to PIPE POINT, which is located at coordinates 6.306205, -58.154232. You may need to park your car at a nearby safe spot and walk the last stretch if the road becomes unsuitable.
Public Transportation
To reach PIPE POINT via public transportation, take a minibus or taxi from Bartica to Mazaruni River. The fare is approximately GYD 500-1000. Once you arrive at Mazaruni River, ask locals for a taxi or a boat ride to Low Wood. The boat ride may cost around GYD 2000-3000 depending on the distance and negotiation. Make sure to confirm the fare before setting off. When you reach Low Wood, follow the signs or ask for directions towards PIPE POINT, which is roughly 1-2 kilometers from the boat drop-off point.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Low Wood, you can walk to PIPE POINT. From the center of Low Wood, head south towards the riverbank, then follow the path leading towards PIPE POINT. The walk is approximately 1-2 kilometers and should take about 20-30 minutes. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated, especially in the warm climate.
