Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the nearest ferry terminal in Parika. From Essequibo Islands-West Demerara, you can take the public road leading to Parika. Once at Parika, take the ferry to Wakenaam Island. The ferry ride typically costs around GYD 1000 per person. After you disembark from the ferry at Wakenaam, drive towards Caledonia. Palm Tree Beach is located at XH58+R88, Caledonia. Follow the main road and keep an eye out for local signage directing you toward the beach.
Public Transport
For those using public transportation, take a minibus from your location in Essequibo Islands-West Demerara to Parika. Ensure you confirm with the driver that they go directly to the ferry terminal. The minibus fare is usually around GYD 300-500. Once at Parika, board the ferry heading to Wakenaam Island, which costs approximately GYD 1000 per person. After arriving on Wakenaam, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Caledonia, where Palm Tree Beach is located. Taxis may charge around GYD 500-1000 for the trip to the beach.
