From Mahaica-Berbice, head south towards the East Coast Highway (also known as the Public Road). Follow the East Coast Highway until you reach the junction with the Demerara Harbour Bridge Road. Turn left onto Demerara Harbour Bridge Road and continue straight. The bridge will be visible ahead as you approach Georgetown. Please note that there might be a toll fee of approximately GYD 200 (Guyana Dollars) to cross the bridge.
Public Transportation
To reach the Demerara Harbour Bridge via public transportation, take a minibus or taxi from any location in Mahaica-Berbice to Georgetown. Look for minibuses heading towards Georgetown at the local bus stops. Once you arrive in Georgetown, ask the driver or locals for directions to the Demerara Harbour Bridge. The bridge is a well-known landmark; you may need to pay a small fare, typically around GYD 150-200, for the minibus ride. After reaching Georgetown, you can take a taxi or walk to the bridge, which is approximately 2 km from the main bus terminal.
