Getting There

  • Car

    From Bassin-Bleu, head east on Route Nationale #1. Continue on this road for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the turnoff for Labadie. Turn left onto the Unnamed Road (QQJ4+754). Follow this road for approximately 5 minutes. Fort Belly will be on your right, identifiable by its historical structure. There is no entrance fee, but parking may be limited.

    To reach Fort Belly using public transportation, find a local 'tap-tap' (shared taxi) in Bassin-Bleu heading towards Labadie. The fare is usually around 50 HTG (Haitian Gourde). Inform the driver that you are going to Fort Belly. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive in Labadie, you may need to walk approximately 10 minutes along the Unnamed Road. Fort Belly will be on your right.
