Walking
From the center of Les Cayes, start at the main square (Place d'Armes). Head southwest along Rue de la Révolution until you reach the intersection with Rue 25 Août. Turn left onto Rue 25 Août. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the waterfront. Follow the waterfront along Boulevard de la Mer until you see signs for the route to Citadelle Laferrière. The path will lead you towards the outskirts of Les Cayes. You may need to ask locals for the best walking route as it can get a bit tricky. Prepare for a longer walk, approximately 2-3 hours, depending on your pace.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start at the main square (Place d'Armes) and head southwest on Rue de la Révolution. When you reach Rue 25 Août, take a left and ride straight toward the waterfront along Boulevard de la Mer. Look for signs directing you to Laferrière Citadel. The route may involve some unpaved paths, so be cautious. The ride could take around 1-2 hours, depending on your cycling speed and the condition of the roads.

Moto-Taxi
Find a moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) in Les Cayes; they are common and can be found near the main square (Place d'Armes). Inform the driver that you want to go to Laferrière Citadel. The driver will take you along the main roads toward the outskirts of town and then follow the designated routes leading towards the Citadel. The ride may take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions.
