Car
From Nord, start by heading south towards Cap-Haïtien on Route Nationale 1. Continue on Route Nationale 1 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Cap-Haïtien. In Cap-Haïtien, follow the signs to take Route 3 towards the Dominican Republic. This road will lead you towards the border at Malpasse. Once you cross the border into the Dominican Republic, continue on Route 1 for about 15 kilometers until you reach the town of Pepillo Salcedo. The entrance to Manglares de Estero Balsa National Park is located at M7X5+2CC in Pepillo Salcedo. Be sure to have your passport and any necessary documents ready for border crossing. There may be fees for crossing the border, typically around $10 USD.

Public Transportation
From Nord, take a tap-tap (shared taxi) to Cap-Haïtien. The fare is usually around 50 HTG. Once you arrive in Cap-Haïtien, you will need to find a bus or another tap-tap heading towards the border at Malpasse. This leg of the journey may cost around 100 HTG. After crossing the border into the Dominican Republic, you can catch a local bus or another tap-tap towards Pepillo Salcedo. The fare for this portion will be about 50 DOP. Upon arrival in Pepillo Salcedo, you can walk or take a motorcycle taxi to the entrance of Manglares de Estero Balsa National Park located at M7X5+2CC.
