Car
If you are traveling by car from Jacmel, head north on Route 2. After about 24 km, take the exit towards Route 32. Continue on Route 32 for approximately 20 km until you reach the town of Duplantin. From Duplantin, follow the signs towards Pic Macaya National Park. The park entrance is located at the coordinates 9XCJ+9MX, Duplantin. Make sure to have a map or GPS for navigation, as road signs may not be very clear. Parking is available near the park entrance.

Public Transportation
To reach Pic Macaya National Park using public transportation, start by taking a 'tap-tap' (shared taxi) from Jacmel to Duplantin. The fare is usually around 50 HTG (Haitian Gourdes) per person. Once you arrive in Duplantin, you will need to hire a moto-taxi to take you to the park entrance, which will cost approximately 200 HTG. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The moto-taxi will take you directly to the entrance at 9XCJ+9MX.

If you prefer an adventurous route and are already in the vicinity, consider hiking from Duplantin to Pic Macaya National Park. There are local guides available in Duplantin who can assist you with directions and safety. The hike takes about 2 to 3 hours depending on your pace and fitness level. It's recommended to hire a guide, which may cost around 1000 HTG, to ensure you stay on the right path and enjoy the natural beauty safely.
