Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Olanchito, Yoro. Head northwest on the main road (CA-5) towards the town of El Negrito. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach a fork. Take the left fork to stay on CA-5. Continue for another 20 minutes until you see signs for Valle del Aguan. Follow these signs, and you will arrive at the entrance to Valle del Aguan. Parking is available at the site.
Public Transportation
To reach Valle del Aguan using public transportation, start by taking a local bus from Olanchito to El Negrito. Buses depart every 30 minutes from the main bus terminal in Olanchito and cost around 20 Lempiras. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in El Negrito, look for a bus heading towards Valle del Aguan; these buses typically cost around 15 Lempiras and take about 20 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at Valle del Aguan.
Taxi
For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Olanchito directly to Valle del Aguan. This option provides convenience and flexibility, especially if traveling with a group. The taxi fare should be negotiated beforehand and will typically cost between 200 to 300 Lempiras, depending on your starting point in Olanchito. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes.
