By Car
If you are driving from the town of Copán Ruinas, head south on the main road (CA-11) towards Santa Rosa. After approximately 2 kilometers, look for a sign indicating Canopy Copán on the right. Turn onto the dirt road and continue for about 1 kilometer. The entrance to Canopy Copán will be on your left. Ensure you have cash for the entrance fee, which is around 30-40 Lempiras.
By Public Transportation
From the central park of Copán Ruinas, you can take a local taxi or tuk-tuk. The fare should be around 50 Lempiras. Tell the driver you want to go to Canopy Copán. They are familiar with the location and will take you directly to the entrance. If you choose to walk, it's about a 30-minute walk from the central park, heading south on the main road and following the same directions as if you were driving.
Walking
Starting from the central park in Copán Ruinas, walk south on the main road (CA-11). After about 2 kilometers, keep an eye out for the sign for Canopy Copán on your right. After you see the sign, turn onto the dirt road and walk for another 1 kilometer until you reach the entrance on your left. This scenic walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes.
Taxi
For a more comfortable option, you can hire a taxi directly from your hotel or any spot in Copán Ruinas. The cost should be around 100 Lempiras for a round trip. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey. The taxi will take you directly to Canopy Copán and wait for you while you enjoy the attractions.
