Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Tegucigalpa. Head southeast on Avenida Cervantes towards Calle 7. Merge onto the CA-5 highway heading toward San Pedro Sula. After approximately 15 km, take the exit onto the CA-4 towards Valle de Angeles. Continue for about 30 km until you reach the town of Valle de Angeles. From Valle de Angeles, follow the signs towards Mirador El Picacho. The road is well-marked, and you will follow the winding mountain roads for about 12 km until you reach the entrance of Mirador El Picacho. Parking is available on-site, and there is no entry fee.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, begin at the central bus terminal in Tegucigalpa. Look for buses headed to Valle de Angeles; these buses depart frequently throughout the day. The fare is usually around 30-50 Lempira. Once you arrive in Valle de Angeles, you can take a taxi or a local bus to Mirador El Picacho. The taxi fare from Valle de Angeles to the mirador is approximately 100-150 Lempira, and it takes about 20 minutes. If taking a local bus, make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Mirador El Picacho.
