Getting There

• Taxi

  From your location in La Ceiba, you can take a taxi to the entrance of Pico Bonito National Park. Tell the driver to take you to 'Parque Nacional Pico Bonito.' The ride should take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on a fare beforehand, as taxis in Honduras may not always use a meter.

• Public Bus

  You can catch a public bus from La Ceiba to the nearby town of El Porvenir. Head to the bus terminal in La Ceiba, located near the central market. Look for buses heading towards 'El Porvenir' or 'La Ceiba to La Masica.' The fare is typically around 20 Lempiras. The journey will take about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in El Porvenir, you can ask locals for directions to the entrance of Pico Bonito National Park, which is about a 20-minute walk from the bus stop.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you're feeling adventurous, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local shops in La Ceiba. You can cycle along the coastal road towards the entrance of Pico Bonito National Park. The distance is approximately 15 kilometers and will take about 1 hour. Keep in mind to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules. Look for signs that direct you to the park, or ask locals if you need assistance with directions.
