Turn onto the dirt road at the sign and continue for about 5 minutes until you reach the entrance to Desvio a Rio Zacate.

To reach Desvio a Rio Zacate using public transportation, first, take a bus from La Ceiba to El Pino. Buses frequently depart from La Ceiba's central bus station. The journey takes about 30 minutes and costs around 30 Lempiras (about $1.30 USD). Once you arrive in El Pino, hire a local taxi to take you to Desvio a Rio Zacate. The taxi ride should cost approximately 100 Lempiras (about $4.30 USD) and takes about 10 minutes.
