Public Transportation
To reach El Peñasco via public transport, begin at the main bus terminal in Ocotepeque. Look for buses heading towards Sinuapa; these are usually marked with their destination. The fare is approximately 20 Lempiras. Upon arriving in Sinuapa, ask locals for directions to CRV8 road, or take a taxi for a short ride to CRV8+278. Taxis may charge around 50-100 Lempiras for this short distance.
Taxi/Ride-Share
For a direct route, hire a taxi from Ocotepeque. Agree on a fare before starting, which should be around 200-300 Lempiras for the trip to El Peñasco. The taxi will take you directly to CRV8+278, ensuring a hassle-free journey.
Driving
If driving from Ocotepeque, take the CA-4 highway towards Sinuapa. Continue for about 20 kilometers. Once in Sinuapa, find the CRV8 road marker. Turn onto CRV8 and continue until you reach CRV8+278, where El Peñasco is located. Be cautious of road conditions, as some areas may have potholes. Parking is available near the site.
