From La Ceiba, take a bus from Terminal de Buses Principal San Jose towards El Porvenir. Buses depart several times daily. The bus fare is approximately 30 Lempiras. From El Porvenir, you can walk to the park entrance (about 20 minutes) or hire a local taxi for around 100 Lempiras.

Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis are readily available in La Ceiba and can take you directly to the Cangrejal River entrance of Pico Bonito National Park. A reasonable taxi fare is around 450 Lempiras (approximately $18 USD) one way, but it's advisable to negotiate the price beforehand. Be aware that the road to the park can be unpaved in sections.

From La Ceiba, head west towards El Porvenir. Follow the signs for 'Parque Nacional Pico Bonito'. The drive takes approximately 30 minutes. Ensure you have a GPS or a map handy, as some signs may not be clearly visible. Parking is available near the park entrance.

Walking
If you are staying in one of the lodges in the Cangrejal River Valley, the visitor center is often within walking distance (e.g., a short 200-meter walk from La Villa de Soledad B&B). From the visitor center, access the park by crossing the 400-foot swinging bridge over the Cangrejal River. Entrance fee to the park is $8 USD for foreigners.
