If you are driving from La Ceiba, take the CA-13 highway towards Atlántida. After about 30 minutes, you will see signs for Pico Bonito National Park. Turn left onto the road that leads into the park. Follow the signs for the visitor center, which is approximately 10 kilometers into the park. Note that some sections of the road may be unpaved; a 4x4 vehicle may be recommended.

From La Ceiba, you can take a bus to the entrance of Pico Bonito National Park. Buses leave regularly from the main bus terminal in La Ceiba. Look for buses heading towards Atlántida. Once you arrive at the park entrance, you may need to take a taxi or wait for a local shuttle to reach the visitor center, which is about 10 kilometers into the park. The taxi fare should be negotiated, and expect to pay around 100-200 Lempiras.
