The drive will take approximately 1-2 hours depending on road conditions. Once you reach La Ceiba, follow signs to the ferry terminal for Utila or Roatan. After arriving in Roatan, drive to West Bay, where Gumbalimba Park is located at 34101 West Bay. There is parking available at the park.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from any town within the Río Platano Biosphere Reserve heading to La Ceiba. The buses may take 2-3 hours depending on the route and stops. Upon reaching La Ceiba, head to the ferry terminal to catch a ferry to Roatan. Ferries operate frequently, but it's advisable to check the schedule ahead of time. Once you arrive at West Bay in Roatan, you can either walk or take a local taxi to Gumbalimba Park, located at 34101 West Bay. Expect to pay around 3-5 USD for the taxi.
