Car
From any location in the Western Highlands, head towards La Esperanza. Once in La Esperanza, take the CA-4 highway towards the east. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for Boulevard Las Acacias. Turn onto Boulevard Las Acacias, and follow the signs to Cuevas de Talgua. The caves are located about 5 kilometers down this road. Parking is available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
Start at the nearest bus terminal in towns like La Esperanza or Intibucá. Look for buses heading to La Union or Olancho. Once you arrive in La Union, you will need to find a local taxi or a tuk-tuk to take you to Cuevas de Talgua. The taxi ride should take about 20 minutes and cost approximately $5-$10.
