Getting There

• Car

  From the center of Copan Ruinas, head southwest on the main road (CA-11). Follow the signs for Las Sepulturas, which is located approximately 3 kilometers from the town center. You will see a sign indicating the archaeological site. Turn left onto the dirt road leading to the entrance. There is a small parking area available at the site. Note that there is an entrance fee of approximately 100 Lempiras (about $4 USD) for tourists.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Las Sepulturas via public transportation, start from the main plaza in Copan Ruinas. Look for a local taxi or tuk-tuk that offers rides to Las Sepulturas; the fare is typically around 50 Lempiras (about $2 USD) per person. The drivers are usually familiar with the destination. You can also ask for a shared ride if available to save costs. Upon arrival at the site, be prepared to pay an entrance fee of approximately 100 Lempiras (about $4 USD).

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk from Copan Ruinas, it takes approximately 30-40 minutes to reach Las Sepulturas on foot. Head southwest from the town center along CA-11.
