Getting There

Walking
If you are in the Inner City area, you can walk to Buda Castle. Start by heading towards the Chain Bridge (Széchenyi Lánchíd), which is a prominent landmark. From there, cross the bridge, and once you reach the Buda side, continue straight. As you walk, you will see signs directing you towards the castle. The walk will take approximately 20-30 minutes, and it's a pleasant route with great views of the Danube.

Public Transport - Tram
From the Inner City, take tram number 19 from the 'Deák Ferenc Tér' stop. Ride the tram for about 10 minutes and get off at 'Moszkva Tér' (Moscow Square). From there, you can either take bus number 16 or walk. If you choose to walk, head towards the Buda Castle district which is about a 15-minute uphill walk from Moszkva Tér. The tram ride costs approximately 350 HUF (Hungarian Forint).

Alternatively, if you prefer a scenic option, after reaching the Buda side via the Chain Bridge, you can take the funicular from the base of the hill. The funicular station is located near the entrance to Buda Castle. This option gives you a great view of the city as you ascend and costs around 1200 HUF one way.
