Getting There

  • Public Transport

    Start at Deák Ferenc tér, which is a major transport hub in Budapest. Take the M1 (Yellow Line) metro towards Vörösmarty tér and get off at the next stop, which is Vörösmarty tér. From there, exit the metro station and head to the bus stop for Bus 16. Board Bus 16 in the direction of 'Buda Castle'. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the 'Buda Castle' stop. Once you disembark, follow signs to the Buda Castle area. Walk up the hill towards the Buda Castle complex, where you'll find the Buda Castle Chapel situated within the castle grounds.

    If you are near the Chain Bridge (Lánchíd), start by walking across the bridge towards the Buda side. Once you reach the Buda side, head uphill towards the Buda Castle. Follow the signs that say 'Buda Castle' and take the funicular railway (or walk if you prefer) to the top of the hill.
