Public Transport
Start your journey at Deák Ferenc tér, the central hub for public transport in Budapest. From here, take the Metro Line 1 (Yellow Line) towards Vörösmarty tér. At Vörösmarty tér, transfer to Tram Line 2. Ride the tram until you reach the stop called 'Kossuth Lajos tér,' which is near the Parliament building. From Kossuth Lajos tér, walk towards the Danube River and take the scenic walk along the riverbank towards Margaret Bridge. Cross the bridge to reach Buda. Once on the Buda side, walk straight to the Buda Castle area, where you will find the entrance to the Budai Castle Tunnel.
Walking
If you are nearby and prefer walking, head towards the Buda Castle area. Start from Szentháromság tér, where the Matthias Church is located. From there, take the steps leading down towards the tunnel entrance. Look for signs directing you to the 'Alagút' (Tunnel). The Budai Castle Tunnel entrance is right next to the castle grounds, and you can easily access it on foot.

For a more direct route, you can use a taxi or rideshare service. Simply request a ride to 'Budapest, Alagút, 1012.' The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the Budai Castle Tunnel. This option is convenient, especially if you are carrying luggage or traveling with a group.
