Public Transport
If you are in the city center, head to Deák Ferenc tér metro station. From there, take Metro Line M2 (the red line) towards Déli pályaudvar. Get off at the stop called Széll Kálmán tér. From Széll Kálmán tér, exit the station and look for the tram stop. Take Tram Line 61 or 56 towards Hűvösvölgy and get off at the stop called 'Szentháromság tér'. Walk a short distance to Matthias Church located at Szentháromság tér 2.
Walking
If you find yourself near the Buda Castle, you can walk to Matthias Church. From the Buda Castle, walk down the hill towards the Danube River and follow the signs to Szentháromság tér. The walk is approximately 15 minutes and offers beautiful views of the city along the way. Once you reach Szentháromság tér, you will see the stunning Matthias Church tower.
Bus
If you are at Nyugati pályaudvar (Western Railway Station), take Bus 16 towards the direction of 'Móricz Zsigmond körtér'. Get off at the stop called 'Szentháromság tér'. From there, Matthias Church is just a few steps away. The bus journey takes about 20 minutes depending on traffic.
