Public Transport

Start your journey at any metro station in Budapest. If you're near Deák Ferenc tér, take Metro Line 3 (the blue line) towards Újpest-Központ. Get off at the next stop, which is Kálvin tér. At Kálvin tér, transfer to Tram Line 47 or 49. Take the tram towards the direction of the 'Kelenföld vasútállomás' (Kelenföld railway station). Get off at the 'Gellért tér' stop. From Gellért tér, walk up the hill along the path that leads to Gellért Hill. You will see signs directing you to the hill and the Citadel.

If you are already near the Danube River, you can walk to Gellért Hill. Head towards the Gellért Hotel located at Gellért tér, and from there, follow the path that leads directly to the hill.
