Walking
If you are near the Gellért Baths, start your walk by heading towards the Gellért Hill. Follow the paths leading uphill towards the Citadella. You can take the main path that leads alongside the hill. As you ascend, the path will curve and you'll be able to see the Citadella in front of you. Continue walking until you reach a fork in the path, and take the route that leads directly to the Citadella. Kilátóterasz is located just beneath the Citadella, so keep an eye out for signs pointing towards the observation deck.

Public Transport
From the city center, you can take tram number 47 or 49 from Széll Kálmán tér towards the direction of the Gellért Hill. Get off at the 'Gellért tér' stop. From there, follow the signs leading to the Gellért Baths and then ascend towards the Citadella. The walk from the tram stop to Kilátóterasz is about 20 minutes uphill.

Funicular
If you prefer a more scenic route, you can take the funicular railway from the base of Gellért Hill. Take the funicular to the top, which will drop you near the Citadella. From the funicular station, it is a short walk to Kilátóterasz. The funicular operates frequently, and tickets cost around 1,200 HUF for a single ride.
