Metro
Take Metro Line 2 (the red line) from any station in Budapest towards Déli Pályaudvar. Get off at the Széll Kálmán tér station. Exit the station and head towards the Castle District. From there, you can either walk up to the Hunyadi János lépcső which takes about 15 minutes, or take bus 16 from the nearby bus stop, which will take you directly to the area. Once you get off the bus, follow the signs to Hunyadi János lépcső.
Tram
Take Tram Line 4 or 6 and get off at the 'Széll Kálmán tér' stop. From there, you can walk towards the Castle District. It’s approximately a 15-20 minute walk. You can follow the signs that lead you to Hunyadi János lépcső or use your phone's GPS for precise navigation. The staircase is located near the Buda Castle.
Bus
If you are near the city center, catch Bus 16 from Deák Ferenc tér. This bus will take you directly to the Hunyadi János lépcső stop. The journey will take around 15-20 minutes. Once you get off, the staircase will be right in front of you, leading up to the Buda Castle.
Walking
If you are already in the Buda area, you can walk to Hunyadi János lépcső from nearby locations like the Fisherman's Bastion or Matthias Church. The staircase is about a 10-minute walk from either location. Just head towards the castle area, and you will find the staircase leading up to the Buda Castle.
