Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start in Miskolc and head towards Lillafüred. From Miskolc, take Route 26 (also known as the Miskolc-Lillafüred road) and continue for approximately 10 km. Follow the signs for Bükk National Park. As you enter the park, look for the parking area designated for visitors. The GPS coordinates for Bükk are approximately 48.0833° N, 20.5000° E.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Bükk National Park using public transportation, take a train from Budapest to Miskolc. The train ride takes about 2 hours. Once in Miskolc, transfer to a local bus (Bus number 1 or 1A) that goes directly to Lillafüred. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Upon arriving in Lillafüred, follow the signs to the park entrance, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop.

• Walking

  If you are already in Lillafüred, you can walk to the entrance of Bükk National Park. From the center of Lillafüred, head towards the main road and follow the signs for the park. The walk will take approximately 15 minutes, covering a distance of about 1 km. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the terrain can be uneven.

• Bicycle

  For those feeling adventurous, renting a bicycle in Miskolc or Lillafüred is an excellent way to reach Bükk National Park. There are bike rental shops in both locations. The cycle path from Miskolc to Lillafüred is well-marked, and the ride is approximately 10 km. Ensure you wear a helmet and follow local cycling regulations.
